If your garden is quite small, and you have a dog, try keeping the dog in the garden near the plants overnight. You could keep him on a chain with a nice comfortable kennel during the summer months, which is not cruel as long as you are exercising him frequently.
We never have problems with rabbits even though we live deep in the countryside and we attribute this to the fact that our dogs roam all over the garden and one is outside at night.
