hi, we have grown beetroot for the first time this year,while it was tasty we had some with stems growing inside the midle of it..can anyone tell me where we went wrong..did we cut it to soon or not wait long enough? thank u.

mmm thats possible because a couple did start to go to seed so possibly.thanks for ur replies..helpful.

New one on me. I can only assume that it is the odd weather, or some aberrant seeds. Glad the rest were/are ok.
