I purchased 6 oleander.med plants about 2years ago.
First I planted them in the garden and 3 of them died off I was told it was too cold in England for this type of plant and I should put them inside, I have done this and 1 of them has flowered. Can anyone tell me if I should cut them back at the end of the season as they are growing quite tall.

My uncles garden (Perthshire) has a hedge of pink and white Oleander but they are next to a stone wall in full sun - so dry and warmish all year round. The soil is quite sandy, so is also well drained and it is in a sheltered valley. They all died back when we had the bad winter a few years back but regrew quickly.
You can prune Oleander in winter time to keep it shape but remember they are quite poisonous, so wear gloves and dispose of the cuttings carefully and not in the compost.
