What is happening to my strawberries? They were beautiful large plants with good crops of berries but over the last 2-3 weeks some of the plants have turned up their toes, the edges of the leaves developed a reddish tinge round the edges and then died and now the whole plant looks dead - a bit concerned that the whole bed is going to follow, although I am still picking at the moment, when the rain allows.

Could they have got too wet? The reddish tinge suggests that to me? If they are in ground which is too boggy or saturated? Strawberries always do better if they are kept on the dry side.
