Penstemon.
My penstemon has got battered by the winds and rain and is now flattened over the path, if I cut it back will it flower again. It was staked but they have circumed to the elements as well.

Thats a shame, some of mine have done the same, but not the whole plant, just the odd stem. Cut off the broken pieces and support it, even if it does not re flower this year it should recover.
