I have a palm tree with dead flowers, how do I cut away dead flowers without affecting the new leaf growth? or do I leave it to drop off on its own. Thanks

Just clip off the flower stalk as close to the base as possible. You can leave it on, but it will dry, go brown and stick on the tree for quite a long time, not looking very attractive;-)
