I purchased 2 new fuschia plants this spring-- transferred them to hanging baskets (iron with the coconut liner). They are on my covered screened-in back porch. They seem to be struggling -- the new buds do not fully bloom before becoming spent.

Were the fuchsias intended for use as bedding, that is, in pots and baskets? Some hardy fuchsias are big plants and need more root room.
Assuming they're not enormous fuchsias, I'm wondering about heat - is it very hot in your back porch? Have you grown fuchsias there successfully before?
