ive had my lace lady in garden for about 9 years and this year its looking very sad. hardly any leaves on it this year, quite sparse. previous years its been its been beautiful. please help angela x

A friend had one sample about twelve feet high, maybe a little more, which was really nice. The following year not so and the year after it was gone. Are there any signs of dead branches? Do they have a short life span? Sorry to be looking on the dark side.
