At a sale of work I purchased some Cosmos plants. They are not familiar to me at all. As I have a very small garden I would like some information on their height, spread, colour. At the moment they are one very thin stem with two or three leaves and I do not have a photograph.

Cosmos are a colourful annual. They grow up to about 3 feet tall and will have pink or white daisy-like flowers. They like sunny spots and flower better if deadheaded. However towards the end of summer leave some flowers to go to seed and save it for next year. They are half-hardy so start them off in a greenhouse in April and plant out in mid May about 6-8 inches apart.
