Hi i bought this from a hardware store here in uk and it was labelled mixed foliage. It reminds me of a yucca or dracaena but it's leaves are more rounded and with purply coloured stems. It has a trunk similar to a yucca. I was also wondering if this could be planted outside..

Hello Vikki....I had one of these last year planted in a trough with others as a Mothers Day gift. I'm sure it's of the family you suggest and probably would grow best in a conservatory..with light and warmth. I repotted mine but it eventually died through wrong conditons.
