Is it the right time of year to weed and feed my lawn? I have read conflicting reports, so I am now -confused from Dorset.com!!

I've heard that you should only use an autumn feed (in autumn) to strengthen the lawn as a spring feed leads to more mowing.

I would go ahead. I did mine with a liquid weed, feed and mosskiller about 3 or 4 weeks ago and it worked well and I can't see that conditions have changed that much since then.

Shouldn t really be a problem now Shirl as not really in height of summer when grass so dry weed and feed preparations can scorch a lawn .
So many available options but personally I avoid those with mosskiller in as turns lawn black and you still have to de thatch anyway.
I prefer granule based applications as feel these more effective on weeds and not so quickly washed out by rain.
However there are many ways to tackle this so if confused now ..
