Last year I had big heads on my geraniums, this year they are very small. why is this I have feed them, put them in new soilk WHY

Often when you buy them they have been grown and disbudded before sale. this encourages them to make new flowers bigger than before. its a plant hormone thing. so you can either have lots of smaller flowers or remove some buds and get bigger flowers. { i assume you are talking about the pelargonium geraniums rather than the perrenial hardy types]
