My Mexican feather grass is so full (and beautiful) that it is falling over. It is quite top heavy but I'm not ready to cut it back given that it is only May. What is the best way to thin it out so that it can straighten up?

if its a true grass and you have room id burn it down .its a natural life cycle of a lot of grasses to get burned and it puts the goodness back into the soil the new shoots need .
