do i need to put my grown potatoes out in the open to get the flowers to come on them, i have grown them in a cold greenhouse frost free in boxes.

I have never grown them under glass, but I see no reason why they would not flower under glass, for the same reason as they might not produce flowers outdoors.
That is; not all varieties produce flowers, so the choice is yours.
Can I ask why are you growing them under glass?
