Have I made a big mistake? ive only gone and planted hollyhock roots in a north facing wall position (not completly shady but not sunny either), they have been in the ground for 3 days, will it harm them if i dig them up now or what will they do if i leave them?

I think you will be safe to move them after just 3 days.

Thanks, I planted them at east end and west end of the north facing wall, there is a corridor of light coming through east to west, so gets a short amount of morning and the last bit of sun in the evening, i`ll have to get digging i suppose, but really dont want too

They will need more sun than that - dig them up asap (even though you don't want to) before they settle in.

How do I say thanks?
