How should I prune rose New Dawn? On Friday's Gardener's World, Monty Don descrbed this rose as a rambler that should be pruned straight after flowering as it flowers on old wood. On other internet sites it is described as a climber that should be pruned in early spring as climbers flower on new wood! Help please! I may have already lost this year's flowers if it is a rambler as I have already pruned my rose this year but I'm not sure who to believe!

well I grow new Dawn [my avitar pic:o) ]and I prune it in spring and it performs all year. I do sometimes cut out extra long stems in autumn just to avoid having my face cut when i walk past it!
so if you have done it now then it'll be fine.
