There is a method where you cut the tip of a shoot, with several pairs of leaves. Strip the bottom leaves, dip the bottom of the stem in rooting powder and plant in a small pot with john innes no. 1 potting soil. Dampen the soil. Then I would put a small plastic bag over it, and grow it on a warm, windowsill. Don't pot it up to the next size til you know it has taken and has roots showing in the bottom of the pot.
