I have a camelia in the front garden i has many flower buds that just do not open

The leave are quite plate in comparrison with the one i have in the back garden that is truely magnificent

my neighbours both have these beautiful plants. One is shaded and more foliage than buds one is in the sun in full bloom (south facing)
perhaps this is why!
moon grower (a GYO member) has mentioned before recently that camelias like acidic soil maybe this is another reason
