i planted a dianthus indian star last year it looks as if it has died shud i leave it in soil or when does it flower again what food shall i give it

I would expect there to be visible growth if it was going to do anything this year. I think it is likely to be an 'annual' to all intents and purposes, abit like strawberry parfit.

Ah, now as far as I can see, these Dianthus are little better than annuals. If it looks dead, then it probably is.
