Herbs

I recently purchesed parsley and dill in pots which I left outside in the garden. Something has completely stripped the plants. What could this be?

I'd immediately suspect slugs - mind you, I blame slugs for everything anyway. And you're right, Sbg - I caught a pigeon eating my *watercress* yesterday morning! So it could be them but I think they'd probably leave something there - slugs won't.

we have a visitor that nibbles off the tops of young seedlings..... (mookins whispers "mice")

i suspect slugs/snails though pigeons are not adverse to herbs either.
