Can anyone identify this plant please?

United Kingdom Gb

My Mother calls it dithery dock, but I cant find any reference to that name.
I found it growing in woodland in the North East of England
Thanks.

Dithery Dock is a common name for the annual grass also called quaking grass. Briza media. This sort of looks like it but not quite. is it wet?

Thanks for your respionse
No, it's not wet it was in dry woodland between a hill (Roseberry Topping if you know Cleveland) and some farm land.
The wood is well drained and it hadn't rained for a least 2 weeks.
