i totally agree with BA, any poke up before spring and dont come to any harm. many/most survived last winter so I dont think this year will do as much harm.

If you are really worried cover them with a mulch bit they wont need it, our Trilliums produce huge noses that sit out through all the winter weather having appeared in November tim each year.
