My cordyline has a root shoot from the bottom of the pot. Is it ok to remove it? It is now December, can I re-pot it? It is covered with fleece at the moment.

It's not likely to do much for 3 or 4 months so I'd leave it until early spring. Mind you, I'm the guy who lost all of his cordies last Nov/Dec to that appalling weather, but so did all of my neighbours, and this is a 'keen cordyline' area. Don't think we'll get a repeat of last year (but there is still time) and, whilst I am happy to re-pot my hardy perennials in the middle of winter I don't mess with plants from warmer climes in the cold mid-winter.

Thank you, I will leave it until the weather is warmer and there is no chance of frost.

How do I say thanks?
