when can i plant anew camelia out

Depends where you live - certainly not until there is no danger of frost.

How large is your camelia? and where did it come from? The trouble is that a lot of camelias are sold in flower when they wouldn't really have started flowering. If its small I would keep it sheltered for a while. Mine are just coming into flower but they are quite large. Even so I have one planted in the wrong place where it gets early morning sun so if there's a frost some of the flowers go brown. So avoid that sort of position. Also depends what part of the country you live in?

Hi Mayflower i purchased a Small Camelia recently which has lots of Large Flower Buds & its still in its Pot In a Shaded/Sheltered Area of the garden iv had some frost which has not left/done no harm ! Hope this helps ? :)
