I Why, for the second year, do my daffodils fail to flower?

I planted bulbs three or four years ago and they flowered two years ago and not since.

The Dafs are in full southern sun and I did let them die off and, as they are in the lawn, I eventually mowed the grass.

Whereabouts have you planted them? Are they in a lot of shade? I have lots but the ones in the shade have very few flowers. Did you let the foliage die back by itself?
