I have 3 salix cuttings now in water indoors. Best way to root
Pacific Northwest location. Should I use rootone and try to root them in soil now, and what kind of soil works best.

i dont know the true answer but willow tends to root easily by just putting the whips/cuttings straight into the ground. i'd use a loam based soil. you could try one like that , one with a rooting compound and leave one in water to see if roots develop and if they do then pot it on. it will be interesting to see what differences there are. good luck
