tiny flies and aphids the parents gather up huge beaks full of them and stuff them down the babies throats. Unless the house martin is just about fledged you are going to have a difficult time. Try a small amount of cat food held in very fine tweezers and when the bird opens its mouth the bed fed poke the cat food right in.
