Summer baskets tend to end as we enter in to Autumn. You should notice plants starting to die off / die down as the leaves on the trees start to change colour.

Some of mine have started to go it has not been a good year for some plants this year they was a report in the papers this week how a rhs garden has started to show signs of autumn a month early due to the very warm weather in spring

I tend to take my summer baskets down in the first 2 weeks of September, as they are past their best, I put the old compost from them around the garden and refill/replant them up for winter plants/bulbs.

Steve, I also saw that picture of the RHS garden. It looks lovely, but just a bit early.
