Hi everyone,thanks for replies on my question about SALIX..not ILEX dont know where my brain was that day..not in my head for sure..lol.Yes i want to know when to buy and where to plant/aftercare etc.thanks once again.

They can also be groundcover at a few inches, Bamboo, eg Salix retusa.

I had a feeling there was a groundcover and nearly said 6 inches not feet, but couldn't be bothered to look it up, so played safe, lol! Thanks Bulbaholic.

You haven't mentioned the variety of Salix you want to get - they vary from 100 feet giants down to 6 foot, so advice about where you plant would be difficult! Generally, planting in autumn is the best time.
