My sugar snap peas developed what looked like Asochyta complex, so I salavaged, harvested & ate what I could, & removed & burnt the foliage. However, I thought I could use the plot for a catch crop, so forked it over lightly to remove a few weeds, & noticed strange warty white pom-pom like excrescences on the roots. Are these diseased roots that need burning, or healthy ones that need digging in ?! Please help

they're most likely the nitrogen fixing nodules - leaving them in the soil can be useful, but if you suspect Asochyta infection, remove all trace of them.
