Tradescantia - possibly purple sabre.

This Tradescantia grew all over Gran canaria like a weed. But I love it's foliage. I reminds me of the plant my mum called "Wandering Jew" it grew in our house in pots and indoor hanging baskets.

I know it as Purple Heart (Tradescantia pallida 'Purpurea'), often still sold as a Setcreasea. We use it as a half-hardy perennial color accent, here in the Arizona Desert.
