One of my TFs was in full leaf weeks ago Cindy, but the other is just unfurling Now, in fact 2 of the fronds are still tightly curled up and refusing to move :) Yours should be moving soon, dont worry, just give it plenty of water to help it on its way..

Good luck with it Cindyangel....mine is just the same :(
Tucked it up in the greenhouse all winter (same as last year), brought it outside early May....and not one leaf has yet unfurled . I think it's sulking :((

I would try watering it with a solution of 1 teaspoon of Miracle Gro (the new formula) and 1 tablespoon of white sugar, per gallon of water. I have had some success in "waking up" stubborn frost-damaged and bare root plants with this before.

Welcome to Goy Cindy :) 2 of my fronds are still tightly curled! Dont give up on it, Im hopefull yours will unfurl..
When you put it in the Ghouse this year, stuff fleece into the crown, then tie the fronds up, also, buy a fleece bag (big one) and place your TF into it, Thats what I do. Last years fronds are still on my 2....

Thanks again Youngdaisyd, i will be taking your advice about protecting it with fleece, i can feel fronds in the crown but was not sure if had died, i will be gutted if it has, but am now more hopeful then before, i'm sure it was in full fronds this time last year, any way i will keep watering and checking every day, sorry to be a pain but when should you remove last year fronds, i've already cut mine off, have i done wrong?

Your not being a pain Cindy, I to have asked these questions in the past :))) Thats how we learn, This is the first year i have left the old fronds on as they looked ok. not the usual brown edges as previous years. I still have my fingers crossed for yours. I just thought, 2 years ago I was still gettn new fronds in August!!
