This is the second year I have grown cucumbers successfully, and am trying the Unwins Minimunch this year. Why do my plants droop even though they have plenty of water from the bottom, then revive when watered from the top? Should I only water from the top of the pot?

We always water from the top down, or immerse the pots completely, since a little on the bottom keeps the bottom too wet, and the top too dry--plus problems from our salty, hard water!

Seems to me they prefer being watered from the top!
