Do you have a femail dog Margaret ? It happened to me once, then I found out the dog was using it as a toilet. I loved her so much I had to put up with it . Tom.

If you're in the south, join the club - ours looks terrible currently, thank heavens it rained on Sunday, should start looking better soon. Have you been suffering drought? If its not that, and you don't have a dog, when did you first notice the problem with the lawn?

Thanks to Bamboo and Tom but I do not have any animals and I live in the north of England. I fed it with feed & weed about 6 weeks ago & thought that may be I had burnt it but as as it seems to be spreading I don t think that is the case. Thank you for replying Margaret
