I have a standard daisey, how do I over winter it? can it stay in the garden

By a standard daisy, do you mean a shrubby daisy species, such as Paris daisy or Euryops, trained into a lollipop shape?

I'm pretty sure you have to bring it inside - I've never seen one outside in winter in the UK.

I wouldn't expect one either, Steragram. That's why I was asking if it was that, or maybe Cognac's idea of an ordinary daisy, such as an English Daisy, or an Ox-Eye Daisy.

I hadn't thought of standard being used in that way! I'm pretty sure it means lollipop shaped here!

Well, remember that to most non-gardeners, the word "standard" means means "ordinary", or "normal", as in "standard operating procedure". I have to translate all the time, in my work! : )
Please don't feel left out, Cognac, we do await your answer, so we can give some useful info
