i have recently bought a iris setosa dwarf form it has flowered do i have to just cut off the flower or the swollen bulb like thing that the flower comes out of aswell

If all of the flowers have bloomed for that stem, I would cut the stem to the base, without damaging the leaves. Let the leaves grow as long as they want to, since they are collecting energy for next year's bloom.
