It depends what your are planning to spray it with.

check the bottle - it should say whether its suitable for edible plants or not - if in doubt, don't use it, especially if its a systemic. It won't harm the fruit - but it may well poison you when you eat it later.

you may be referring to mildew problems?
I've puffed sulphur stuff on ours but will not be eating the fruit. Later in the year I need to prune properly to avoid congested stems and leaves in the middle of the plant - more airflow will help prevent mildew attacks.
However, all that may be more about my probs than yours I realise! Posted it in case it is helpful.
