Hi Stewart and welcome to GoY. You don't say where you are in the UK but moving any tree at this time of the year is not a good idea, needs to wait until autumn now. If you are in the drought ridden south of England it is really important that you don't move anything large at the moment.

Hi Stewart, I agree with Moon grower, don't move it yet, and when you do, try not to disturb the roots too much. Dig some acid (Ericaceous) compost into the ground where you're going to replant it, and give it gallons of water. Good luck, Annie
