we have a gooseberry bush first year of fruit on it and the bush and fruit looks like its gone mouldy what can we do.

Mildew on Gooseberries is a very common problem. You can either find a fungicide which is recommended for fruit. OR You could try the old method of spraying with 1 part Full cream milk to 9 parts of water.
