Hi you guys,I'm hoping to get some advice on what i should do with my garden!!! well thats what i was told it is.I will try to make it short,Its supposed to be grassed all over but i think the turf was laid on a gravell pit.It is not flat and sinks into a corner(6 ft wodden fence),i got son in law to make a raised bed in this corner 2 triange beds with path in middle.Part of this plot gets no sun because of fences,But my question at the moment is,What type of soil should i fill them with.Any help with this would be most wellcome. Thanks look forward to any reply from anyone. Thanks again. Oh by the way i want colour so its flowers i want to plant. cheers.

John Innes No. 2 or 3, or that mixed with a third multi purpose compost would be best, but also quite expensive, so depends how big the beds are really. Otherwise you're stuck with buying in some topsoil, which isn't something I recommend unless there's no choice.
