It is not neccesary to feed it, but a mulch of garden compost or a little top soil mixed with a little general purpose fert wouldn't hurt it. I have several varieties and never feed any of mine, they're doing their job really well.

Thankyou 2ndhand I have 3 one in front gravel bed and two in back garden the two in back never had berries last year but the front was stunning for some time.

I think I shall donate one of my calicarpas to our local community garden project I am involved with.
