I have Palm tree in the garden (attached photo), which after strong winter seems to be dead - no leaves, tree is dry and at the top tree is getting black. I live in Edinburgh.
Is there any chance to recovery my palm tree? Do you have any tips, suggestions.

Check the trunk from top to bottom for other blackened, soft, soggy, oozing or rotting areas - if you find some, cut down beyond the lowest one, and if that's to the base, then cut it to there. You may find it shoots off the roots later on, but you may have to wait till July for any new growth to show itself.
