My dwarf conifer has turned a yellow brown colour on one side and appears very dry. Has the harsh Winter caused this and can i do anything to help it recover?

Not sure. It is just very brittle. I will keep an eye out for cats though, thanks

Has the local feline population been using it as a marking post? I have this problem sometimes on my box hedge!!
