Black Walnut Tree

I have a black walnut tree in my yard, what kind of plants can I plant around it, and what kind of plants can be planted in my yard that won't b killed by it?

Hi there,
This is always tough because walnuts suck up a lot of moisture and release a toxin that kills plants underneath it. Hostas aren't affected by the toxins and some take fairly dry soils so I'd start with that.
