Should I remove the grapes or not??

I planted a vine the end of last year and it has now spring into life, I am only growing it to harvest the leaves for cooking with. Would it be better to remove the grape bunches as they start to become visible as I would like the plant to have vigorous leaf growth instead, any suggestions on what would be best?

The vine will have vigorous leaf growth whether you remove the grapes or not... if you don't want the grapes yourself the birds will love them!
