Best time to re-pot Hosta's?
My hosta's have completely died back now and two of them are in need of new pots, having out grown their existing ones. When is the best time of year to do this? I have bought the pots ready but then worried that new soil and spacious surroundings might stimulate new growth.
Thanks!

Thanks Andrewr, glad I didn't get carried away with the idea of new pots! Spring it will be!

I would do it in spring just as growth restarts. No plant likes to be repotted in autumn and then have to sit in large amounts of cold compost over winter
