my council is now offering bins that will compost meat and dairy produce and bones or any left over cooked food i always understood you shouldnt do this so how is this possible the product is called bokashi

Are they compost bins or wormeries? I think wormeries were always touted as the place to put all the meat and cooked stuff you couldn't put in a compo bin?

no they are not wormeries i dont think its an offer from essex county council just received it for 25 pound as against 50 pound retail has a tap on so you can get liquid feed also can be kept in the kitchen and is odour free thank you

our council had these on offer.they do compost left over meat etc.
feed back from locals were so-so , some said the bins stank! some had rat problems , some thought they were great. we decided not to get one due to the high cost.
