Another one I found that was buried in the jungle. I have an idea it might be a skunk cabbage, but haven't seen it flower yet and looking it up on the net the leaves seem less vertical than the pictures. However, I'm sure the plant is distinctive enough for someone to idetify it for me.

Andrewr beat me to it! From the size of the leaves it just might be deep pink bergenia, much nice than the bog-standard pink/white, which has bigger leaves.

We're looking forward to Spring to see if the flowers are different colours on the two different plants!

Looks like more bergenia to me. They are very tough plants and will put up with a lot of neglect. Skunk cabbage needs very moist soil and you would know if you had it by the smell when it flowers!
