Can you tell me what soil is required to repot a large plant.

If its a large woody shrub, use John Innes No. 3 - drawback with it is its heavy once wet, so if you need it to be lighter, mix with a bit of multipurpose to lighten it up. If its a perennial rather than a woody shrub, John Innes No. 2 or multi purpose.
