Cutting back Rodedendrums
Hi everyone. I have a question about Rodedendrums in our garden. They currently have a very wide spread (about15ft) and I want to reduce this to about half that. Any ideas on when and how best to approach this would be welcome, e.g. can it be done now in the Autumn and is it just a matter of pruning them back aggressively and they will flower ok next year.
Many thanks, appreciate your comments

Rhodos respond well to cutting back but if you want flowers next year, do it just as the flowers are fading

To reduce the size of your Rhododendrons cut back hard on one side of your shrub. Let that side recover and do the other side next year.
